This position is responsible for assisting with the operation and management of the Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP), a statewide wildlife habitat and deer herd management program for private landowners. The primary duties of this position include evaluating, managing and recommending improvements to member services especially the development and launch of DMAP’s new member database, MyDMAP, and providing member support, recruitment and retention activities. Other duties include but are not limited to managing grants to support member services.
65% A. Member services management:
A1. Assist the DMAP Coordinator with the evaluation of the new MyDMAP database and recommend improvements to enhance member experience and data evaluation. Work collaboratively to implement improvements.
A2. Conduct and manage the transfer of data and resources from the old MyDMAP database to the new one. Assess issues and work collaboratively with Coordinator and DNR IT to implement solutions.
A3. Conduct database queries and analysis to evaluate member performance on habitat management and deer management recommendations. Assess performance to make determinations of eligibility for services.
A4. Identify, develop, and maintain resources to enhance member experience when engaging with MyDMAP and other DMAP services such as site visits, written management recommendations, custom reports and education initiatives.
20% B. Provide member support, recruitment and retention services:
B1. Provide customer service support to existing and prospective members through timely and professional response to phone calls and emails.
B2. Assist existing members with managing their DMAP services, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements and maintaining their MyDMAP accounts.
B3. Assist prospective members with becoming DMAP members and creating MyDMAP accounts.
B4. Research, recommend and implement strategies for improving member recruitment and retention.
10% C. Manage grants that support member services:
C1. Coordinate data tracking, compilation and analysis to write accomplishment reports.
C2. Manage and track funding allocations and expenditures to develop financial reports.
C3. Assist with new grant applications as opportunities arise.
5% Other duties as assigned
Salary Information
This position pays between $20.65-21.50 per hour and is in pay schedule and range 02-11. Compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.
Job Details
This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and will not automatically lead to permanent state employment or be entitled to the same benefits as permanent employees.
