Under the general supervision of a registered nurse in the assigned clinic, the Sr. LVN performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. Duties include prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, and patient education. The position requires initiative, able to prioritize critical demands, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California.

BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

Minimum two (2) years of LVN experience.

Knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.

Demonstrated experience working with a team to provide high quality patient care.

Ability to take initiative, prioritize critical demands and work in a team environment.
- Experience working in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
- Experience working with Oncology patient population.
- Epic electronic medical record experience.
- Prior authorizations and durable medical equipment experience.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Willing to work overtime as required.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $80,200 – $80,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $38.41 – $38.41
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
