Morson has joined forces with BAE Systems to identify their upcoming team of Machinists.

LOCAL/NON LOCAL Machinists required BAE BARROW

BAE Submarines Barrow in Furness (Cumbria) are recruiting for 9 Machinists. Please note whilst we expect the roles to be operating on a Night Shift Pattern, there could be flexibility for other shift patterns, but night shifts takes priority.

  • Machine items requested by Production/Planners using machines best suited to the task in accordance with the skills of the relevant Machinist. To work to drawing tolerances/parameters and quality requirements.

Local (Up to 39 miles)
£24.53 + £3.57 (Holiday Allowance) PAYE
£31.97 Umbrella

Non Local( Outside 39 Miles)
£32.53 + £4.73 (Holiday Allowance) PAYE
£42.11 Umbrella

Core Duties

The role holder:

  • Follow the relevant instructions, drawings and any other specifications.
  • Use the appropriate methods and techniques to machine components.
  • Check the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been completed to meet the required specification.

  • Knowledge of checks, adaptors, bushes etc.
