Shareteah Humanitarian Organization (SHO) is an Iraqi National NGO promoting safety & development through mine action and explosive ordnance risk education (EORE)awareness, and clearance of mines, explosives and remnants of war.to assistance for people affected by armed conflict. Founded in 2016, SHO has organized & executed programs throughout Iraq. including the provinces of Nineveh, Duhok, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Anbar, and Baghdad. It currently holds offices in Duhok and Mosul.

The MAE Officer for community liaison will lead SHO field teams in the collection, analysis, and use of monitoring and evaluation data for program improvement, learning, and demonstrating impact. The post holder will lead the implementation of standard monitoring and evaluation activities for EORE/NTS operational teams. S/he will also manage the field program information system, which includes data collection, entry into databases and data collection systems, analysis, and reporting. The position is based in Sinjar; the contract type is fixed contract, full-time.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk education activities and other activity if needed, through data collection, surveys, and other feedback mechanisms, and use findings to improve program design, delivery, and impact. Develop monthly and weekly M&E work plans for program activities and make sure they are followed up and delivered in a timely manner.
- Prepare regular reports, documentation, and case studies on risk education activities, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned, and contribute to donor reporting requirements and program evaluations. and submitted all reports in a timely manner.
- Lead the implementation of standard monitoring and evaluation activities for the field teams as guided by the M&E guidelines/calendar.
- Liaise with other stakeholders, including, humanitarian organizations, local authorities, and community leaders, to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to risk education efforts.
- Manage project indicator trackers and ensure that they are updated on a monthly and quarterly basis as required.
- Prepare list of need and Ensure that the team has the necessary materials and other equipment to carry out the designated activities;
- Supervise, guide, and train short-term enumerators/ data clerks involved in planned data collection processes to ensure accurate data is collected and compiled.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly data inputs for reports to management as required by the project implementation coordinator.
- Ensure that all program activities have adequate data collection tools at all times that are capable of measuring the relevant indicators.
- Supervise the conduct of baseline and end-line surveys and prepare impact assessment reports.
- Maintain good relationships with other mine action interventions in the area, including those involved in the survey, marking, and clearance to ensure good coordination and shared knowledge.
- Any other tasks as required by the line manager.
Other Qualifications:
- Competence using information technology including experience with word-processing, spreadsheets and database software.
- Excellent command of English, particularly in writing, is essential.
- Highly developed analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to determine priorities and attention to detail are essential.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, sound judgment, planning and team building and facilitating skills. Ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player.
- Willingness and capacity to work in the field and travel frequently to project sites when needed.
