The Opportunity:

Join our Maintenance department as a Maintenance Coordinator, where you’ll play a key role in coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance for campus buildings. This position requires independent judgment and initiative to efficiently operate and maintain our campus facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate repair and preventative maintenance for various campus buildings and systems.

  • Process work requests, maintain records, assess conditions, assign resources, and manage safety & compliance reports.

  • Ensure work compliance with current standards and the Work Management process.

  • Maintain accurate records in the Integrated Work Management System (IWMS).

  • Coordinate manpower scheduling with the supervisor.

  • Analyze schedule status and forecast availability by categorizing work backlog.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in a recognized trade and 2 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma and 2 years or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of trades classifications, functions, and maintenance tools.

  • Experience with maintenance or facility maintenance union contracts and vendor contracts.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to analyze budgets for facility service organizations.

  • Assess appropriate skill levels for cost-effective service.

  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and material and equipment take-offs.

  • Previous work in resource load balancing with short and long-term planning.

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and IWMS.

Health Assessment Required:  

UCF policy requires completion and passing of a physical exam for this position.

Position requires a valid driver’s license. The position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
