Concern Worldwide (UK) is looking for a Management Accountant to join a friendly, professional and high performing Finance and Operations team on a fixed term contract starting as soon as possible and through to April 2024.

You will work closely with the Director of Finance and Operations and the wider Finance Team.

About the role:

The Management Accountant will provide support to the Finance team through the yearend and month end tasks and will lead on relevant yearend schedules and reconciliations. You will also be expected to update management accounting schedules to reflect current departmental structures.

We are recruiting for this short-term role to ensure we have support with our year-end processes while recruiting for vacant key roles in the team. We are looking for an individual who has a good team work ethic and can support both the Director of Finance and Operations and the wider team in their day-to-day work.

You will come with solid reporting skills and an ability to manage designing and implementing a revised management accountant schedule in excel to reflect a new structure, work closely with the system accountant to make changes in the B3160 reports and testing reports and coding to ensure accuracy, support with year-end balance reconciliation and year end schedules. About you:

You will be a fully qualified Accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA or CIPFA) or qualified by experience with demonstrable experience sufficient to override the qualification criterion. You will be highly responsive and reliable with strong attention to detail and advanced excel skills. You will have demonstrable experience in business planning, budgeting (including designing and implementation of budgeting reports), forecasting and financial reporting. To succeed in this role you will demonstrate competence and practical experience in financial and management accounting principles and techniques. The successful candidate will have have an understanding of empathy in the charitable sector.

About our office:
Concern is currently trialling a hybrid model. Staff are expected to come into their base office once per week or the monthly equivalent i.e. 4 times per month. Staff are also able to flex their start and finish times between the hours of 7am to 7pm daily.
