We are delighted to be working with one of our favourite local clients on a brand-new recruitment assignment for a part-qualified Management Accountant to join an industry-renowned manufacturer based in Rotherham. This role has been designed to support the divisional Financial Controller whilst offering the individual scope to progress into a more senior position.The business are specialist manufacturers providing bespoke products and materials to support a multitude of manufacturing and engineering businesses. This is a rare opportunity where a specialist international business is offering significant investment into developing the successful candidate with a generous amount of wider business exposure and study support.Given the substantial package on offer this opportunity is likely to be filled quickly – please get in touch to discuss as soon as possible should this be of interest.Duties to include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts within agreed timescales
• Assisting the Financial Controller with the preparation of group reporting accounts
• Preparation of annual budgets, interim and flash forecasts
• Assist in foreign currency hedging and cashflow preparation
• Support the preparation of capex proposals
• Completion of monthly review and variance analysis of accounts – including identifying areas of development to improve business performance and reforecasting as needed
• Ensuring the accuracy of standard costing systems including liaising with operations teams when required
• Assist in the development of day-to-day accounting systems
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register including the posting of depreciation
• Assist in the development of the business reporting structure – streamlining elements where necessary
• Provide additional financial support to other business areas for example the weekly review of costs with the operations team
• Preparation of VAT returns

Person Specification:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA studier
• Previous experience of working within the manufacturing industry (desirable)
