The Role – Management Accountant
Reporting to the CFO & Business Operations Manager, the Management Accountant is responsible and accountable for overseeing and providing transactional data services across the finance portfolio. Key responsibilities include processing and supervision of:
- Revenue, accounts receivable, funder and stakeholder oversight and support.
- Daily reconciliation in relation to revenue and revenue related grant systems.
- Key management reporting contact for the organisation, supporting teams to access, update and interpret their monthly actual to budget reports.
- Accountability for the timely preparation of monthly program management reports.
- Year end and grant acquittal preparation and reporting support.
- Supporting compliance across the relevant financial legislative/regulatory requirements.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the financial management transactional platforms.
- Building successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders and fostering a positive and responsive work culture.
Your Skills & Attributes
- Appropriate accounting qualifications (diploma or higher) and a willingness to pursue further professional development as required.
- Experience in financial management.
- A high level of emotional intelligence, self-reflection, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude for supporting innovation and change management.
- Strong transactional and management accounting data analysis skills.
- Experience supporting the delivery of high calibre month end reports.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Excellent financial management software skills, particularly MYOB.
- The ability to work collaboratively across the organisation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, a project management mindset and creative resourcefulness.
- Action Oriented – enjoys challenges.
Must have full working rights within Australia.
This role would suit an application within a 1-hour radius of Bendigo or looking to relocate.
