Job Description
The incumbent would be part of a team that focuses on creating a conducive, enriching and safe environment for NUS hostel residents to live and learn. This would be achieved through the design and implementation of blended learning opportunities and housing related policy interventions.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Lead the team to manage living and community standards in NUS hostels, including fact-finding, disciplinary case and records management and review of related policy and practice.
- Lead and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement out of classroom learning experiences for residential students leaders.
- Assist the team to design, facilitate and deliver blended learning programs, forums, retreats, and other learning opportunities to residential student leaders.
- Provide advisory to hostel staff and residential students leaders in student activities to ensure compliance with University SOPs and guidelines.
- Review hostel related work and administrative processes in order to design and facilitate a community of best practices among hostel residential life staff.
- Manage projects in collaboration with other university offices and hostels’ leaders to enrich the residential experiences of NUS students.
- Provide timely and effective administrative and logistical support including but not limited to sectional finance, secretarial duties and operational matters.
- Management of Residential Life inbox
- Assist the Section Head in sectional budgeting and finance admin.
- Handling ad-hoc projects as and when assigned.
Qualifications
- A good University degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in software applications such as MS Office and some awareness of data literacy
- Meticulous, with proven record in project planning and organizational skills
- Articulate in both written and verbal communication
- Organized and able to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Demonstrates excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration with stakeholders
