ROLE SUMMARY

  • Supports general BioMedicine Design (BMD) business operations to enable diverse workstreams across multiple Pfizer sites.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date information in multiple portfolio-enabling databases that support BMD workflows, portfolio tracking, and resource utilization.
  • Provide portfolio and resource analytics to support strategic portfolio and resource decisions.
  • Role requires a highly motivated individual with strong organizational skills and ability to execute multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment; strong attention to detail; strong collaboration skills working across organizational boundaries.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Portfolio and Resource Analytics

  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date information in multiple BMD portfolio and resource enabling databases/tools: BMD ‘LIMS’ database, portfolio database,Activity Tracker, resourcing tools
  • Support project initiation and terminations workstreams, includes QC of modality selection, updates to ‘LIMS’ and communications to Core functions.
  • Perform portfolio and resource analytics, informing progress against deliverables, cycle time metrics, resource utilization by projects. Provide associated reports to BMD and RU leadership. Identify potential resource bottlenecks or project progression issues for Leadership consideration.
  • Develop and improve analytical tools that facilitate timely decision-making processes.
  • Provide logistical and operational support toBiotherapeutic Review Team (BReT), including templates, workplan tools/guidance documents for BMD team leaders, stage-based ‘checklists’.
  • Responsible forBiotherapeutic CQGC logistical support and Share site administration.

Business Operations

  • Take initiative to bring forward ideas for operational process improvements.
  • Responsible for BMD capital equipment purchasing and capitalization workstreams.
  • Accountable for purchase requisitions and spend tracking for consolidated, department-wide outsourcing services (FFS); work with procurement to ensure key vendor MSAs in place.
  • Responsible forBMD Share site administration and content, including generation of updates to BMD job aids/guidance documents to support non-scientific tasks (hiring, onboard/offboarding, activity tracker guidance, purchasing guidance etc.)
  • Generate and/or maintain up-to-date BMD organizational information, including mission/responsibilities overviews, technical overviews to support Pfizer-wide communication platforms and leadership presentations.
  • Working closely with BMD Business Operations lead and administrative staff, support BMD communications and events (eg newsletters, townhalls, scientific symposium)
  • Responsible for Activity Tracker administration
  • Develop new job aids/workshops for BMD scientists to facilitate new workstreams from Pfizer support lines

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, e.g. biology, chemistry with 6-8 years in drug discovery
  • Self-starter who possess a high energy level, sense of urgency, creativity, and decisiveness
  • Thrive in dynamic work environment with ability to work well under changing work priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products with moderate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Experience with other data manipulation/graphing programs a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Broad knowledge in biotherapeutic discovery technologies such as antibody discovery platforms, protein production, molecular properties assessment.
  • Proficient in Spotfire and Plainsware

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $81,100.00 to $135,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
