Summary
Assists in managing and overseeing the daily operations of Business Support Services. Provides operations and project support to the Director and supervisors as necessary. Provides effective leadership and technical expertise in these operations. This position requires a strong financial background and willingness to handle multiple tasks.
Job Duties
Updates employee information in SAP.
Reviews and releases documents in SAP for approval and release by the administrator or Director of the organizational unit.
Communicates and coordinates with Human Resources on a variety of personnel issues and with the Finance Department on a variety of budgetary and financial matters.
Oversees specific contractual agreements BCM has with multiple service vendors to support operational objectives.
Generates monthly reports and distributions in SAP.
Manages the organization’s accounting and financial functions to assure the accuracy of transactions and assure that departmental transactions conform to College policy.
Assists in developing the annual departmental budget by cost centers and forecasts revenue and expenses.
Monitors departmental expenses and ascertains whether or not charges are made to the appropriate cost center.
BCM Parking Services – Manages 15 parking vendors that support 6,200+ commuters. Coordinates monthly service level meetings with each vendor to maintain the best support for the BCM Community.
BCM Food Services – Manages the service contracts for Morrison Café (Main Baylor) and Mary O’s Café (Jamail Building). Organizes monthly financial and operational meetings to determine opportunities for service delivery and remediate any pain points from the vendor operation.
BCM Vending Services – Manages vending services for all BCM locations. Evaluates monthly performance and determine if additional vending services are needed to support growth at BCM.
BCM Mail Services – Manages the intake and distribution of mail to the various BCM locations. Reviews mail delivery services to enhance additional opportunities to offer our BCM Departments.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Excel skills including experience with formulas.
Financial reporting experience.
Supervisory experience.
