As a Business Planning Manager for EMEA region, you are responsible for supporting the brand management team in increasing revenue and profitability for the brand. Taking the lead in gathering all relevant data and conducting in depth analysis of the market sales performance, point out opportunities and risks in terms of brand development. Providing dashboards and supervising the information flow through different channels and departments. Leading the Business Planning Team, you are a key point of contact for the Sales force and you coordinate processes and activities in line with the GTM strategy, achieving Sales targets and business objectives, for the top favourite Gen-Z and Millennials brands Eastpak, JanSport and Kipling.
You will be joining our EMEA Packs Sales Operations & GTM Excellence team based in Antwerp, Belgium.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Responsible for gathering pre-season, in-month, and cumulative information and reconciling data in order to conduct analysis of key account and sales rep metrics. Provides this information to sales management and makes recommendations to drive sales growth.
- Support the Sales Ops Director in the preparation of GTM meetings, providing data & detailed analysis related to the performance of every country and channel. You will be also responsible to set the targets for the upcoming campaigns.
- Support in the definition of GTM and Sales Calendar (Sell in and Reorders Season) also sharing the information with Planning, Finance and Product/Merchandising team. Keep all business related calendars updated and inform regularly to the teams on the upcoming events/critical dead-lines.
- Provide Area Managers and Country Managers with historical data and ad hoc analysis for Go To Market process and Strategic Plan process.
- Gather sell-out data from DTC, Concession and Key Account teams and generate summarized newsletter to the board in a regular basis.
- Provide daily, weekly and seasonal reports to the sales force and sales management covering pre-books, additional demand business as well as Returns, Cancellations & credits/debits, Contracts, Samples and Seasonal Pre-Books.
- Supply and Planning related Collaboration, Communications and Solutions to support best order and forecast practices and processes.
- Create customized reports not covered by the existing and standard ones managing the information flow through different departments.
- Partnering with Sales and Channel Directors/ Sales Managers to facilitate specific information to support country regarding: pan-European key wholesale clients, local key accounts, etc. that may help them to understand better their different businesses.
- Maintain and enforce regular communication with different HQ department (Product, Finance, Planning, Customer service) and Sales teams ensuring a good reciprocal flow of information providing detailed Sales data and analysis.
- Organize quarterly training to the sales team (internal and external stakeholders) related to the process and tools concerning business planning and GTM processes and tools.
- Channel continuous improvement ideas and help select suitable ones to turn into projects.
- Build internal and external business planning networks and communities, ensuring awareness as well as sharing best practices and developments in the sales operations arena
- Manage a small team of business planners and sales tools and sample coordinator, directing work flow by assigning tasks, reviewing the work of team members, monitoring the work habits of team members, evaluating team member performance and providing feedback opportunities for team members.
- Gather and provide feedback to continuously improve analysis and tools.
- Attend tracker calls and sales & ops meetings regularly.
Skills for Success
Our ideal candidate is curious, smart and precise, preferably with knowledge of sales operations best practices. If you have exceptional organizational skills and draw energy from being part of a team, we would like to meet you. On top of this you have:
- A University degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics and/or a proven qualification in data analysis or big data or proven experience in Retail Excellence, Sales Ops. or Supply chain are required pre-requisites.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations, demand, or supply planning, financial or business planning.
- Experience as people manager.
- Strong analytical skills, preferably with experience in multinational/pan European, international Company.
- Deep knowledge on P&Ls, G2N and financial forecasting/planning.
- Project management experience required.
- Ability to make clear dashboards / draw conclusions to support business. Knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualization tool is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills. Highly motivator.
- Capable to build a true relation of trust with both commercial team and other business partners.
- Proficient level of English. Any other language will be an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other information packages (Cognos, SAP or similar, etc).
- Excellent time management and ability to work under timeline pressure.
