Job Description
The School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) was established to drive the expansion of NUS’ lifelong learning offerings in a concerted and strategic way that furthers our mission to be a leading global university, as well as fulfil our role as a public university of Singapore, shaping the future.

Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part-time and full-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals. All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.
About the Role
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our E-Learning and Technology Unit.
Reporting to the Vice Dean (E-Learning and Technology), with a functional reporting line to the University Chief Data Officer, the incumbent shall be part of a small team responsible for the University’s Continuing Education and Training (CET) data tracking, analysis, and reporting needs such as to enable data-informed decision-making to drive the growth and development of NUS CET initiatives.
Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with an annual variable bonus which is subject to the incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.
The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Take charge of the following, amongst others:
• Automate reports for internal and external accountability on various CET aspects (e.g. funding/financing, training places, training quality)
• Perform market segmentation analysis
• Perform real-time analytics for various digital outreach and other initiatives
• Develop data repositories from multiple data sources conducive to unified and long-term trend analysis
• Analyse participant feedback for quality monitoring purposes
• Work closely with key stakeholders to obtain analysable data of CET learners to gain pertinent insights to guide strategies for implementing meaningful programs and policies to better attract and support CET learners
Requirements
• At least a master’s degree in Data Analytics, Applied Statistics, Computer Science or a quantitative field (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Finance, etc.) from a reputable university; PhD preferred
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (familiar with pandas and numpy libraries)
• Experienced in or familiarity with the following will be advantageous:
• Web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics)
• Statistical modelling
• Machine learning techniques
• Data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense)
• Domain knowledge in graduate education, and general knowledge of the CET business
• Possession of soft skills including:
• Verbal and written communication
• Intellectual curiosity
• Creativity and adaptability
• Problem-solving skills
• Strategic, proactive, and cooperative
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Meticulous and accurate
• Teamwork
