In particular, you are encouraged to review our and to watch .What will you be doing?Research Management is an interesting and varied role, and includes:

  • Responsibility for the delivery, and continuous improvement, of a specified part of the research management lifecycle
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships at all levels, including with public and patients.
  • Project manage and contribute to team and NIHR projects using specialist knowledge
  • Carry out detailed assessment and analysis of issues and problems then recommending and implementing appropriate solutions
  • Please note you will not be undertaking research yourself; this is a research management role where you will oversee a stage of research.

We have research managers overseeing the whole life cycle of the research process. Whilst we appreciate candidates may have an interest in a particular area, we do expect our Research Managers to be flexible in their approach to work and willing to work across teams.Who are we looking for?We are looking for passionate individuals who are hard-working, dedicated, and flexible in their approach. Some of the key skills required are:

  • Understanding the health research landscape, with knowledge and experience of a relevant research management activity.
  • Able to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing, analytical and critical appraisal skills.
  • Confident in providing accurate and timely specialist guidance on complex issues
