  • Permanent, full-time, 76 hours per fortnight
  • Band 7, $98,498 – $109,404 plus 11% superannuation

This role offers the fantastic opportunity to lead the team at GRLC. Managerial experience along with a deep understanding of the role of public libraries, an ability to engage, lead and coach customer-centred teams, the capacity to build relationships with diverse community members and a relevant tertiary qualification are essential.

The key areas of responsibility include:

  • Lead, develop and coach individuals and capable teams to enable innovative and contemporary ways of working, thinking and delivering services.
  • Ensure the consistency of provision and delivery of high quality, community focused library and information services and programs that respond to community needs and expectations.
  • Lead a continuous improvement culture that is dynamic, resilient and collaborative.
  • Manage GRLC’s Occupational Health and Safety objectives and Child Safe Standards ensuring community libraries remain safe spaces for staff and community.
  • Build and nurture connections – locally, within the region and across the industry.
  • Foster positive relationships that create and maintain collaboration with key community groups, Local and State Governments and other key stakeholders.
