The Manager for Multicenter Research Operations provides consistent leadership as well as operational and general oversight of City of Hope’s Multicenter Research to ensure competent and standardized practices that are compliant with all institutional and regulatory requirements. The Manager supervises, monitors, and supports the timely study start up, administration and progress of City of Hope led clinical research conducted at multiple institutions.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of Multicenter Research Operations team, enhancing efficiency and compliance.
  • Supervise Multicenter Site Monitors, overseeing hiring and evaluations.
  • Facilitate communication among investigators, statisticians, and research staff.
  • Review and provide feedback on monitoring findings to ensure compliance.
  • Prioritize urgent requests from multiple sites and communicate issues to the Director.
  • Serve as liaison between drug manufacturers, Principal Investigators, and participating sites.
  • Keep updated on regulations and best practices, advising on compliance.
  • Contribute to grant submissions, progress reports, and site visits.
  • Provide expertise on study-related documents and assists in site feasibility assessments.
  • Coordinate Site Initiation Visits and manage regulatory documents.
  • Oversee adverse event reporting and dissemination of Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC) reports.
  • Liaise with Office of IND Development and Regulatory Affairs (OIDRA) for processes and protocol modifications.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Three (3) to (5) years of experience in clinical research conduct, administration and/or management, preferably in a NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center or academic medical center; plus 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial/leadership capacity. Experience directly related to research; and at least three (3) years of experience providing direction on interpreting federal, state, and sponsor policies and regulations in a clinical research setting required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in biological, health sciences or related field.
  • Certification through SoCRA or ACRP.
  • Prefer experience in clinical research settings, ideally supporting cancer trials.
