The Job:

The Manager Quality Standards and Performance is accountable for the management, maintenance and delivery of Business School accreditations and provides high level academic and leadership support and advice to the Dean, Deakin Business School relating to such matters. The position has the responsibility for leading the effective development and implementation of quality and institutional accreditation activities and strategic initiatives conducive to the ongoing accreditation process.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of Business School accreditation including liaising, negotiating with and influence various stakeholders within and outside of the University in relation to accreditation and strategic issues.
  • Provide leadership and oversee the development, implementation, ongoing management and improvement of accreditation activities and processes in the Deakin Business School to ensure accreditation is achieved effectively and in a timely fashion.
  • Identify, research, develop, implement and promote good practice, and implement strategic opportunities and excellence and innovation in relation to accreditation.
  • Lead the process for setting and monitoring proactive data collection process, methods, timeframes and standards to ensure the data collection process is smooth, timely, and meets the data/information requirements for accreditation process.                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Masters level qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Extensive experience in accreditation requirements and in managing accreditation projects to a successful completion preferably in EQUIS, AACSB, or a similar agency that accredits programs of schools.
  • Demonstrated outcome focussed project management skills including scoping, planning, project design and presentation, coordination and implementation.
  • Extensive experience within a tertiary education administration with complex administrative structure, policies and procedures
  • Proven experience managing and implementing strategic projects
