The mission of Women Building Up (WBU) is to advance gender, racial, and social justice by supporting women, girls, and gender-expansive people whom carceral systems have directly impacted. We support them in claiming their power and becoming agents of transformative change in their communities and the world.

Reporting to and partnering with the Executive Director, the Managing Director of Grants and Resource Mobilization (MDG) is a key member of Women Building Up’s Leadership Team. The MDG will lead, collaborate, innovate, and provide strategic direction and oversight of WBU’s activities to provide financial and non-financial resources to grassroots efforts that are aligned with WBU’s mission. The MDG will ensure WBU is represented in philanthropic communities and conversations and support the Executive Director in donor cultivation and organizing. The MDG will also oversee all grants administration vendors and partners.
