Managing Procurement Forestry Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Procurement Forestry Professional to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics, materials management, and supply chain systems to effectively coordinate forestry operations and contribute to the overall productivity of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee forestry logistics operations, including planning and executing timber harvests while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Oversee and coordinate trucking/logistics of materials necessary for forestry operations from source to delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage relationships with mills.
• Analyze data related to supply chain management to optimize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop sustainable forest management plans that balance ecological health with economic viability.

Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Certified Plan Writer.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on production planning and procurement processes.
• Strong knowledge of silviculture of Wisconsin trees.
• Strong analytical skills to assess forest conditions and make informed decisions regarding resource management.
• Familiarity with sustainable forestry practices and environmental regulations is highly desirable.
