There is currently one full time vacancy available for 12 months, with the possibility of extensions (up to 2 years total appointment) and/or permanency (to occur within two years of appointment), subject to business requirements.

About the role

This position has significant leadership and management responsibility within the Early Intervention Services Division and provides specialist advice and supervision in relation to complex legal matters.

This role is involved in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and systems to ensure the most cost effective and efficient use of resources. This position collaborates extensively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives and to maximise the services available to clients.

About you

You are a highly organised, experienced legal professional who is looking to lead a dynamic team in the delivery of a range of innovative legal services, providing access to justice for vulnerable people across Western Australia.

Able to create and deliver on strategic plans, your communication skills are second to none, with an ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders, across legal teams within Legal Aid WA, and communicating a clear vision that focuses and drives your team.

You also have the expertise and experience to confidently make significant legal and administrative decisions and judgements on policies, guidelines and strategies in relation to the provision of legal assistance services.
