No to Violence is Australia’s peak body for individuals and organisations that work with men that use violence. We provide training, sector development and advocacy across the sector. We operate the Men’s Referral Service, providing a counselling service and referral pathways directly to men who use violence. About the role

The Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) Training Practitioners are responsible the delivery of the MARAM Adults using violence focused tools training to build skills, practice, and capability across the Human Services system, to enable effective working with adults who use family violence.

This training will be delivered by a combination of online and / or face to face training sessions in Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria from March 2024 to May 2025.

The MARAM Training Practitioners are responsible for the delivery of the training packages and providing high quality training that delivers clear learning outcomes. The training packages are regularly reviewed by FSV and reflect best practice in working with adults who use family violence for the safe outcomes for victim/survivors.

We are open to both part-time and sessional facilitators applying for this role.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • At least two year demonstrated experience in the facilitation of training and professional development programs.
  • Comprehensive MARAM experience.
  • Experience in the family violence sector, with specific emphasis on working with adults who use family or domestic violence and the MARAM framework.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice as it relates to both prevention and response to family violence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of family violence systems across Australia, including key policies and legislation that impact on direct practice.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the dynamics and impacts of family violence, its gendered nature, and the need for appropriate responses through working with men.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation, training, and group facilitation skills.
