a’r iaith Gymraeg, gyda’r gallu i weithio o fewn tîm dwyieithog ac yn ymrwymo i ddysgu’r iaith
os yn ddysgwr. Mae’r gallu i siarad Cymraeg yn ddymunol ac yn faen prawf pwysig.

The Marine Futures North Wales Internship programme offers a unique opportunity for candidates
interested in a career in the marine environment to gain skills, knowledge and experience
across a variety of marine sectors; helping to inform and shape future career opportunities.

The Programme is funded by The Crown Estate, project managed by North Wales Wildlife Trust and
run in partnership with The Crown Estate, M-SParc and Menter Môn. Each partner organisation
provides opportunities for the intern to develop on-the-job skills in specialist areas
including, marine conservation advice, sustainable fisheries, renewable energy development,
marine policy, and community engagement. Through the programme the intern will be offered
experience and a balanced view on a career in the marine environment and how different sectors
can work together. The intern will get the chance to undertake an independent research project
focussing on a topic that is relevant to all partners. Additional activities will include
stakeholder engagement, creating virtual educational outreach materials and ecological
fieldwork.

We are looking for two interns who can build on their existing skills and knowledge to make the
most of this unique experience. Applicants should have a good understanding of current marine
issues and some experience working or volunteering within the marine sector. Most importantly,
we are looking for candidates who are passionate and enthusiastic about the marine environment
have a willingness to learn, are organised, self-motivated, and can work well within a team
both remotely and in person.

It is essential that the successful candidates have an understanding of Welsh
culture and language with an ability to work within a bilingual team and a willingness to

Please note that, as these posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974,
a satisfactory enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Disclosure
check will be required for the successful candidates along with a current driver’s
