The role
The Marketing Adviser, Brand and Engagement, is a key brand custodian and responsible for delivering marketing activities with guidance and direction from the Marketing Lead. The Marketing Adviser, will build and maintain strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders to collaboratively plan, deliver, optimise and evaluate marketing activities, to support key brand, fundraising and partnership initiatives. With a passion for consumer understanding, you will leverage deep community insights and a human-centred design approach.

Relationship management
- Build strong and effective relationships within the organisation and act as a key point of contact within the Brand & Marketing Unit for marketing strategy, support and advice.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Beyond Blue’s strategic objectives, and the role of marketing in achieving these objectives.
- Work closely with the Marketing Lead to effectively plan, resource and deliver marketing initiatives, from initiation through to go-to-market implementation and evaluation.
- Work collaboratively to design, develop, implement and evaluate marketing initiatives that support organisational objectives and engage the community.
- Ensure all marketing activity and content is safe, accurate and clinically sound.
Brand and Strategic Marketing
- Provide both proactive and responsive marketing advice and ensure consistency and quality of marketing output is maintained.
- Actively monitor and evaluate all marketing activity, creating reports, evaluations and providing suggestions for improvement.
- Act as a Beyond Blue brand custodian ensuring all marketing activity supporting the Engagement group is aligned to Beyond Blue’s brand, experience and language guidelines and policies.
- Assist the Marketing Lead to execute the tactical delivery of brand marketing activities that build and enhance the Beyond Blue brand.
- Support the monitoring of Beyond Blue’s brand health, including brand tracking research, translating research and insights into action.
- Develop and implement brand marketing activities aligned to the brand strategy to expand Beyond Blue’s brand position within the mental health sector and wider community.
- Assist to maintain and update Beyond Blue Brand Guidelines, manage trademarks, copyright and brand usage requests.
- Improve and continuously update our digital asset management system.
Project management
- Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams to effectively deliver marketing campaigns, initiatives and materials within agreed timeframes, budgets and resourcing.
- Use appropriate project management tools and processes to coordinate marketing projects, regularly reporting on progress, recognising barriers and finding effective solutions.
- Assist with managing external suppliers such as creative, media buying, graphic design, print, digital and direct marketing agencies to ensure delivery of activities within agreed time and budget parameters.
About you
- A tertiary education in Marketing or similar essential.
- Experience working in a similar role or agency is essential.
- Experience working in not for profit, public, community or mental health highly desirable.
- Attention to detail and copywriting experience highly desirable.
- Proactive and pre-emptive approach in managing stakeholder relationships.
- Organised, resourceful and appreciates finding ways to do things better or differently.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing multiple campaigns.
