About This Opportunity 

The Marketing and Audience Manager will lead and coordinate UQ’s marketing strategies, targeting priority audiences by championing innovation and new opportunities. 

You will play a key role in developing, implementing and evaluating marketing plans across the University to build social and content activities while leading a small team with oversight of UQ’s Social Media Roadmap. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Manage and coach a small team, including a social media specialist and student storytellers to support UQ’s core social media channels. 

  • Develop audience building strategies across marketing and communication. 

  • Oversee the planning, development, implementation and effective delivery of content, social and marketing activities in response to briefs. 

About You 

  • Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that connect and engage new audiences. 

  • Extensive expertise in developing, implementing and evaluating large-scale integrated marketing and social content campaigns. 

  • A solid understanding of metrics measurement across various platforms in the acquisition pipeline. 

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to influence large teams of professional staff to meet key performance indicators in a complex organisation. 

  • Experience working in a fast paced, high-profile organisation dealing within a proactive and reactive communications environment. 

The successful candidate may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
