We are seeking a passionate Marketing and Communications Manager who wants to contribute to the to managing, delivering, improving and implementing change in a range of community services to ensure quality, cost effective and customer focused services to the remote and rural Kimberley residents working in Kununurra, working alongside a remarkable enthusiastic team.
Key Duties
To develop, implement and evaluate the Wunan Foundation brand and marketing strategy. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be an experienced and innovative professional, with considerable knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of marketing and communication and community awareness initiatives. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for strategic internal and external communications and marketing, fundraising, brand management, media and social media engagement, community awareness campaigns and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements of the role
ALL candidates must address the Essential Selection Criteria.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, communication, media and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in a related field
- Proven track record in building and managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including senior executives
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and well developed influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to be self-motivated, responsive and flexible in an environment with time pressures and multiple priorities
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously as well as work co-operatively as part of a team
- Commitment to the core mission of Wunan
- National Police Check / WWC check
- Australian Drivers License
- Ability and commitment to working from Kununurra W.A.
Desirable Criteria:
- A strong understanding of Indigenous people in general, and of Indigenous people and communities in the East Kimberley in particular
- Experience in a not-for-profit marketing setting
Pre-employment requirements include:
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (not older than 6 months)
- Current Working with children clearance
- Current Australian unrestricted ‘C’ class Driver’s license
