Summary:
This role is an exciting opportunity to join the ABCN Partnerships, Business Development and Marketing Team. Working with a collaborative and dynamic team, you will be responsible for developing and executing engaging marketing and communications strategies and implementation plans to raise stakeholder engagement, brand awareness, assist fundraising and report on the impact that ABCN achieves.

The Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN) is a not-for-profit organisation that brings business and schools together to improve opportunities for students in the future world of work. ABCN is a network of over 50 corporate members and partners representing a wide range of leading national and global organisations, and over 200 partner schools from low-income areas across Australia. We are led by an experienced body of our member CEOs who actively participate in business and education partnerships and support their employees to do the same. Together we share a common vision for all young Australians to reach their potential in the future world of work, regardless of their socio-economic background.
We provide structured mentoring and other workplace programs that cover future focused career skills. Our programs connect students to volunteer business mentors, helping students develop career understanding, and the skills, mindsets, aspirations and professional connections to achieve more than they thought was possible.

Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, Business Development and Marketing and working with ABCN programs, partnerships and development teams, the role will drive the marketing and communications functions at ABCN:
- Communicate ABCN’s reach and impact to our network of 50+ corporate partners and thousands of corporate volunteers
- Creation and management of digitally savvy, creative and integrated marketing campaigns, including impact reporting, brand awareness, volunteer recruitment and fundraising EDM campaigns
- Content strategy, creation and management of the ABCN website, social media channels and quarterly newsletters
- Development of visual assets including production and maintenance of program materials and marketing collateral
- Production of the Annual Report and annual corporate partner impact reports
- Contributing to the communications collateral for our end-of year and other events
- Development and reporting on analytics to measure the success of ABCN’s communications and marketing efforts
- Stewardship of ABCN’s branding and style guide
- Engage, manage and work effectively with external contract writers, designers, photographers, videographers, website tech teams to help with the above
About you:
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4-5 years relevant experience in marketing and communications, including both B2B and B2C
- Strong and impactful storytelling, writing and editing skills and the ability to engage a corporate and corporate volunteer audience
- Strong graphic design skills
- Strong project management and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency with marketing and communication tools and systems including LinkedIn Ads Campaign Manager, Hootsuite, Canva, PowerPoint, Mailchimp and WordPress
- A self-starter with the capability to work autonomously, prioritise a varied workload and juggle competing demands
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including building effective relationships, and creative problem solving
- A collaborative and positive working style, and a growth mindset
- A desire to be part of a dedicated team who want to make a real difference to the lives of young Australians
