Overview
From planning, creating, evaluating and reporting – to engagement, graphic design and relationship building, PPR’s marketing team has its fingers in lots of pies!
We are looking for a capable, creative and ambitious marketing assistant with a strong interest in digital marketing and a commitment to building a career in this area.
Working closely with the marketing manager and marketing executives, the marketing assistant will be involved in all marketing activities. There will be the opportunity to contribute to marketing campaigns, research and curate content for the Group’s social media accounts and websites and play a role in growing, engaging and retaining our key audiences. The marketing assistant will work across all PPR’s brands.
We have a welcoming and enthusiastic team with an excellent range of skills to train you in areas you might not be confident in. We are looking for someone who will benefit our department with their skill set and also bring a positive attitude and good personality to the work environment.
Responsibilities
- Curate and schedule content to post on social media channels.
- Work with the marketing team to monitor social media accounts and engage with key audiences and individuals.
- Write copy for marketing emails, website content, social media and internal and external communications.
- Assist the marketing team in managing and optimising the company’s website, ensuring best SEO practice is followed.
- Support the creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and collateral.
- Assist in planning, organising and promoting networking events or webinars.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor activities and opportunities.
- Collaborate with members of the marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
- Assist with ad hoc marketing, technology and innovation tasks.
Experience and attributes
- Degree or relevant marketing qualification.
- Relevant experience in a marketing role.
- A high level of literacy, good attention to detail and the commitment to high producing excellent, accurate written work.
- Good working knowledge of digital marketing software such as Mailchimp, Canva, Sendible, Hootsuite, SendGrid.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Flexible and able to adapt and learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team operating in a fast paced service environment.
- Proactive approach to problem solving, and can work under pressure
In the main, this is an office-based role which will require daily attendance on site, Candidates will need to be able to commute easily to our rural office in Barkisland, Halifax HX4 0AD.

£26000 per year
