Description
Within a project funded by AICS in partnership with the University of Bologna and Catania, the Master Builder will be responsible for organizing and conducting technical training programs on the production and use of mud bricks. Moreover, he will support the establishment and coordination of a local enterprise dedicated to mud brick production.
1. Design and deliver training modules on mud brick production and application.
2. Train beneficiaries on the sustainable use of local resources and innovative construction techniques.
3. Ensure quality standards are maintained in all brick production and application processes.
4. Contribute to the establishment of a local enterprise/cooperative specialized in mud brick production and sustainable construction.
5. Coordinate and mentor enterprise members in production, management, and application of mud bricks.
6. Support the enterprise in developing production standards, work procedures, and sustainability strategies.
7.Perform any other relevant duties as required.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
• Proven experience as a master builder with expertise in mud brick production and use.
• Experience in training and capacity building within local communities.
• Knowledge of sustainable and innovative construction techniques (including additives such as PVA).
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Fluency in Arabic (mandatory); knowledge of basic English is an advantage.
