Join our AMAZING TEAM!!! Working with team to maintain proper inventory levels with all MRO supplies and inventory. Working in conjunction with facilities to maintaining satellites with the proper inventory levels, reviewing items to ensure the correct items are stocked, and what needs to be replaced to meet the needs of our facilities team. Processes requisitions for replenishing inventory, works with buyers on maintaining item records, locations and descriptions. Keeping satellites, and warehouse in a clean and organized manner.

Essential Duties

  • Process requisitions for parts, equipment and materials for replenish.
  • Researches and reviews items prior to ordering to comply with goals of department.
  • Monitors and reviews inventory levels by physical count, record keeping and visual inspection.
  • Inspects and verifies deliveries and reconciles invoices against purchase orders; verifying cost, quantity delivered, and amount ordered.
  • Authorizes payment and initiates paperwork to close out purchase orders.
  • Maintains proper inventory levels at HUB and also at the MRO satellites.
  • Cleans and organizes shelving at HUB and satellite locations, to keep an organized and clean environment.
  • Issues and distributes materials, supplies, and equipment to stock at satellites to fulfill needs of facilities.
  • Answers questions concerning purchase requisitions and purchases from procurement, department staff, manager or vendors.
  • Works with buyers to obtain price and quotes for purchases, and eta of deliveries.
  • Works with buyers and vendors to get item information, or to follow up on shortages, overages, and late deliveries.
  • Maintains paperwork on requisitions, orders, inventory counts, quantity on hand, invoices or automated emails to  keep organized and work in a productive and efficient manner.
  • Monitors quality, quantity and delivery and ensure action is taken if there is a problem with any delivery.
  • Keeps documentation of items that are surplus and obsolete to avoid having a large amount of inventory with no sales.
  • Provides regular reports for supervisor/manager on inventory, running sales, reports and analysis of inventory at any time.
  • Properly stores and handles all inventory, including by not limited to: size, safety, chemical and weight to avoid injury or damage.
  • May be required to handle, inspect and transport chemicals or other hazardous materials to locations at University Campuses. Work may include shipping and receiving dangerous goods, chemicals, biologicals, gas cylinders (inert, toxic ; flammable), liquid nitrogen, and CDC controlled Select Agent program.
  • Keeps locations marked and bins labeled to have ease of identification to avoid errors.
  • Delivers stock and non-stock items to respected locations as needed, and being able to use hand truck, two-wheel, dolly, or other materials handling equipment.
  • Have the ability to pick up, deliver and receive items by lifting (up to 50lbs) and/or pushing/pulling (up to 100lbs).
  • Assists in building fixtures as needed for supply rooms at satellite locations.
  • Assists in training new team members in areas of operations.
  • Performs any additional projects assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years receiving, storing, issuing supplies or related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

  • Two years of inventory experience with history of receiving, storing, issuing supplies, placing orders or related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Are you able to lift up to 50lbs and push /pull up to 100lbs?
  • Do you have any issues working in the natural weather elements, heat or cold?

Working Environment

  • Work environment is in a warehouse setting.
  • Subject to extended periods of sitting, computer work.
  • Subject to standing for various lengths of time.
  • Subject to walking moderate distances when needed.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50lbs), pushing and pulling (up to 100lbs).
  • When delivering items you may be exposed to natural weather, heat in summer (up to 120 degrees) and cold in winter (down to 40 degrees).
  • Work with potentially hazardous agents or physical hazards
  • This position has specific vision requirements
