Math / STEAM / STEM Educator for grades 4-6

Trailblazers School of North Georgia is seeking an innovative teacher of mathematics, STEAM, STEM for the 24/25 school year. The ideal candidate will be able and willing to design and teach conceptual understandings of math, with nature/environmental project based learning as a key component.

Trailblazers School of North Georgia is a nature-based hybrid school in Buford, Georgia serving grades PreK-6th. Our lead educators will work closely with our environmental educators and curriculum team to create a safe, happy, joyful learning environment for our students.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in a variety of capacities
• Desire and comfortable with working in the outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Training and/or interest in developing expertise in innovative and inclusive educational methods (e.g., Culturally Relevant and Sustaining practices, Environmental Education, STEAM, Arts-based pedagogies, Universal Design for Learning, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf) Preferred but not required.
• Willingness to transparently collaborate with other educators, caregivers, and children and participate in building a young school.
• Value and demonstrate a real commitment to diverse perspectives
• Desire to partner with children in shared inquiries
• Teaching certification not required. Bachelors degree required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
