JOB DESCRIPTION
ACACIA MATHS TEACHER

The responsibilities of the position are to be performed in accordance with the provisions of Acacia
‘Employment Contract’ & the ‘Terms of Service’.

Job Purpose
● To carry out the duties of Maths Teacher under the direction of the School Director and the
Senior School Principal.
● To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education and
Christian witness.

Main Duties & Responsibilites:

Typically as a Maths Teacher you will be required to:
● Have experience of teaching across all ages including middle school and high school and exam
classes. Knowledge and experience of IGCSE and Advanced Placement are preferable but not essential.
● Have a love of the subject.
● Aspire to be a talented, dynamic and ambitious teacher, who will ensure good progress for all
students.
● Have the ability to inspire, engage and enthuse students in Maths.
● Be skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student-led learning.
● Have high regard for the classroom learning environment and resources.
● Use technology to deliver the curriculum.
● Be able to develop, plan and deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences to all
students.
● Be an aspirational professional who is enthusiastic, influential and committed to working in
