Responsibilities:

  1. M&E System Design and Implementation:
  • Design and implement an effective M&E framework and system to track program activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact.
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation plans, including indicators, data collection methods, and tools.
  • Ensure alignment of M&E activities with program objectives, donor requirements, and best practices.
  • Train staff and partners on M&E processes, tools, and data quality assurance.
  1. Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Coordinate the collection, management, and analysis of program data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop data collection tools, such as surveys, questionnaires, and checklists.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights and recommendations.
  1. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare regular M&E reports, including progress reports, performance dashboards, and impact assessments.
  • Ensure timely submission of M&E deliverables to donors and other stakeholders.
  • Support the development of case studies, success stories, and lessons learned documentation.
  • Provide data and evidence for program proposals, presentations, and external communications.
  1. Capacity Building and Training:
  • Build the capacity of staff and partners in M&E principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on M&E-related topics.
  • Provide guidance and support to program teams in setting targets, defining indicators, and tracking progress.
  • Foster a culture of learning and evidence-based decision-making within the organization.
  1. Evaluation and Learning:
  • Plan and coordinate program evaluations, including baseline studies, mid-term reviews, and end-line assessments.
  • Collaborate with external evaluators and consultants to ensure rigorous evaluation methodologies.
  • Synthesize evaluation findings and recommendations for program improvement.
  • Facilitate learning forums and discussions to promote knowledge sharing and organizational learning.
  1. Data Management and Technology:
  • Establish data management systems and databases to store and analyze program data.
  • Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of program data.
  • Stay updated on emerging M&E technologies and tools, and recommend their adoption as appropriate.
  • Provide technical support for data visualization and reporting software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, social sciences, international development).
  • Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA) and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of program evaluation methodologies is an asset.
