The M&E Officer will support the monitoring and evaluation portfolio of current and future programs in the Erbil office through data collection and analysis. S/he will be responsible for various data collection methods including conducting needs assessments, focus group discussions and key informant interviews and insuring the quality of data through precise gathering, regular database upkeep and accurate communication of information to all stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include organization, inspection and developing monitoring mechanisms within programs and summarizing all information into succinct, accurate, and timely reports.
Job Duties:
Collect and organizing qualitative and quantitative data
Facilitate the flow of data between beneficiaries, Program Managers (PMs) and the Program Development Officer
Create timely reports to help PMs track program impacts against targets and indicators, and organize goals
Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project output
Manage enumerators work and paper as well as provide them with training and supervision as needed for quality data collection.
Learn to use Samaritans Purse Reporting System (SPRS) iForm, implement as a tool in all project activities, and assist teams with iForm system
Maintain the technology retrieval system with iPads and other telecommunication
Create and maintain applicable displays to improve the quality of accountability and communication with all stakeholders
Provide feedback to program management teams on project strategies by identifying bottlenecks and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks
Suggest improvements for existing monitoring and evaluation systems
Provide inputs, information and statistics for monthly, semi-annual, and other reports
Assist each programs personnel with M&E tools and supporting them in their use

Education / Experience Needed
Experience in conducting assessments and analyzing data using statistical software and project activities against program documents.
Knowledge/experience with Monitoring & Evaluation specifically, information management or accountability
Candidates with previous monitoring and evaluation experience working with nongovernmental organizations will be given preference
Degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, communications or similar field is desirable.
LANGUAGE
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.
English, Kurdish and/or Arabic language skills required.
