JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Country Director(CD) ,He/She will provide full support to the CD mainly in monitoring visits, establishing and maintaining an efficient Feedback/complaint mechanism for MG project, carrying out routine M&E tasks & reporting, ensuring proper documentation within the MEAL department. And to monitor project objectives. Moreover, to strengthen accountability systems to ensure that support is extended to all beneficiaries. The MEAL assistant will also support in strengthening the capacity of MG project staff in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning..
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the program activities are carried out according to quality standards established by MG through quality monitoring checklists.
- Assist in establishing the feedback and complaint mechanism for ongoing and new projects.
- Ensure Feedback forms received regularly from the field offices are entered promptly into the database and ensure proper follow up until case closed.
- Ensure boxes and visibility items at field level are in place and maintained and that information submitted by phone or email are entered promptly into the database.
- Provide regular reports on feedback mechanisms to the CD.
- Assist in drafting weekly and monthly monitoring reports.
- Carry out field monitoring visits when required by the CD.
- Assist in rapid assessments missions, surveys and analysis as required.
- Responsible for receiving beneficiaries’ feedback and complaints via phone
- Follow up and Compile projects/ monitoring weekly and monthly reports
- Maintain the archiving and documentation system of the MEAL department
- Place, follow up and expedite documents of MEAL department supplies; verify the receipt of supplies
- Ensure compliance with MG administrative standards, policies, organizational procedures and relevant SOPs, as well as with local laws and regulations Archive, organize.
- Assist in conducting baseline and end line surveys, verifications, PDMs, observational monitoring, exit interviews, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews; ensuring that quality data is collected from the field.
.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering, Information Technology, Development Studies, Statistics,or a relevant field.
- At least 2-year Monitoring and Evaluation professional experience.
- Survey and data handling experience.
- Competence in writing reports in English.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail and reporting in a timely manner.
- Teamwork and Management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and teamwork-oriented management style.
- Fluency in written / verbal English and Arabic is required.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other standard software packages.
- Ability to travel within program sites, as required.
- Ability to work under pressure in an operational environment.
- INGO experience, preferably in Health, Nutrition or Food and an M+E Assistant at least Two years.
- Experience in using QlikView
- Experience in GIS mapping
- Experience using KOBO and ODK
