Job summaryThe Mechanic will work in a team and is responsible for the maintenance (line/base) of the helicopters. They report to the Chief Engineer of the base.Line MaintenanceBasic tasks in Line Maintenance, in compliance with the requirements as described in the regulations: refueling, towing, baggage loading and other line activities;Ensure that all these line maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions;·Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of a serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;Assist the licensed engineers in trouble shooting;Assist the licensed engineers in correct handling of maintenance tasks – final check to be done by the licensed engineers.Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment: material in service car, consumables, limited service stock, work material, material needed for normal day-to-day line maintenance, exceptional material supplied for exceptional line maintenance or small repair tasks;Report daily to the licensed engineer on completion of tasks.Base MaintenanceComply with the requirements as described in the regulations;Ensure that all maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions;Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store & MCC that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment.Skills & experiencePractical experience in maintenance in either line or base maintenance (preferably on helicopters) is a mustICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office)Languages: English (professional level)Ability to follow company procedures and processes (operational, quality, safety …)Easy in learning new procedures and processes: motivated to study to obtain the right experience and knowledge in helicopter maintenanceSolution finder but with eye for detail and taking into account all regulations and proceduresWhat we offerYou’ll be welcomed in a young and exciting company.
