Mechanical Estimator – near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk – Permanent – Commercial projectsA well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to be based on one of their sites near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding office for a reputable award-winning M&E business. The projects will range in value but typically be from a few thousand to £1m mechanical package.As the Mechanical Estimator you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
· Produce competitive, commercially viable tenders for new and existing clients.
· Ability to identify alternative designs to obtain competitive advantages.
· Carry out take off’s from working drawings.
· Able to negotiate the optimum tender price from suppliers, wholesalers and subcontractors.
· Ensure tenders are prepared to a high standard.
· Participate in handover of successful bids to delivery team.
· Ensure delivery team understand the technical, financial and key programme issues.Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
· Previous experience of a similar role within a building services contracting environment.
· Mechanically qualified, with associated qualifications
