Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter seeking a role with a company that has fantastic staff longevity in a recession-proof industry?About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our well-established team in Widnes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our site’s maintenance, improvement, and operational efficiency.Responsibilities

• Performing preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Undertaking repairs on various machinery, including hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Participating in Continuous Improvement projects.
• Carrying out fabrication and welding duties.
• Communicating effectively with multiple departments regarding maintenance issues.
• Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines.
• Complete duties outdoors, at height, and in confined spaces as required.
• Ensuring all maintenance reporting is accurate and complete.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or a relevant mechanical engineering qualification.

Skills

• Fabrication and welding skills are desirable.

Person Specification

• Hardworking and self-driven.
• Confident in the ability to work independently.
