Our services and programs are free of charge for kids (0-15) and their families at every stage of the cancer experience.

About the Role
The Media and Communications Coordinator is part of the Marketing and Communications team and will be supporting marketing and communication goals of increasing brand awareness, boosting registrations for our services and programs, and promoting of our fundraising events. You will provide communications support producing content and collateral, and will be building relationships with our healthcare stakeholders. You will promote the Cancer Education Program and our fundraising campaigns, providing media content and seeking media opportunities.
- Enjoy working closely with our healthcare stakeholders, building connections
- Gain experience working on varied media opportunities and creating media collateral
- Create and promote internal and external newsletters, and online blog stories

Experience and Knowledge
- 2 years relevant experience in a media, PR and / or communications role
- Experience preparing PR materials, such as media releases and briefing notes
- A background in health communications would be looked on favourably
Qualifications and Training
- Tertiary qualifications in PR / Communications
Other requirements for this role
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Sound project management skills
- Highly organised and adaptable with the ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines and successfully coordinate multiple tasks
- A demonstrated willingness to work as a collaborative team member
- Some out of hours work and inter / intra state travel may be required for events or recreation programs
- Current drivers licence and current Working With Children Check
