The Medic is a part of a team conducting survey and/or clearance of Explosive Remnants of War. The Medic is deployed with the team and responsible for maintaining a preparedness for emergency situations, and for conducting life-saving first aid on casualties in accordance with the best practices on the field. The medic is also following up the health of the team members and the team spirit of the team.
General Responsibilities:

Adhere to all NPA policies, regulations and procedures
Maintain and care for all equipment issued by NPA and for any loss or damage, you will be liable for repair or replacement
Follow all verbal and/or written instructions, unless in direct violation of safety and duty of care
Ensure a safe workplace and protect all staff and equipment from damage/ injury
Responsibilities:
Ensure and maintain the first aid kit, ensure that the required items are in place, stored properly, kept sterile, are not expired, and replenish any damaged or expired items.
Maintain quality paramedic care regardless of the patient’s race, religion, age, sex, nationality, and disability, social or economic status.
Respect patient confidentiality and rights.
Maintain patient safety.
Maintain excellent hygiene and facilitate for the hygiene for the team
Maintain a reporting mechanism and produce proper records and reports on all aspects of medical activities.
Plan and execute CASEVAC/Medevac exercises together with the TL, SS and TFM as per SOP.
Execute the duties in accordance with SOP.
Carry out the instructions of their supervisors in a manner that is supportive and constructive.
Report any safety concerns to the team leader.
Provide technical backup, from a medical perspective, to the Ops Management.
They are to carry out other tasks as dictated by changing circumstances, or as required by the Ops Management.
Support the TL and SS in the field by updating attendance records, visitor logs and another site documentation as directed by the Team Leader.
Any additional duties as may be required.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Required Qualifications:
Must have:
Paramedic training
Successfully pass relevant training courses (Immediate Care Provider)
Successfully pass operational accreditation
If Qualified Medical Trainer:
Conduct first aid re-fresher training as short notice during bad weather if directed
Conduct medical re-fresher training for team medics as required
Assist Ops QA officers in assessment of accident response plan rehearsals of other teams
Desirable:
Paramedic or nurse education
Other Qualifications:
Verbal proficiency in Arabic
Good interpersonal skills
Good communication and understanding skills
Able to work effectively under stressful situations and adapt to difficult conditions
Willingness and ability to travel within the country
