Scope of Job | Responsible for the daily operations and overall effective performance of assigned practice including workflow development, patient schedule management, provider and staff engagement, patient experience, and assisting with inventory control. |

Supervision Received | General supervision from assigned supervisor. |
Supervision Given | Direct supervision of assigned staff. |
Required Education | Associate degree in a related field or 60 hours of college credit, including 18 hours business and/or health care related course work. |

Licenses/Certifications | N/A |
Required Experience | Two (2) years of administrative experience in a clinic, medical office or multi-physician group or general medical office experience to include supervisory duties or High School diploma with four (4) years of the required experience. |
Preferred Experience | Experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting. Bilingual in English and Spanish |
Equipment | Use of standard office equipment and electronic medical record system. Clinical equipment. Exceptional computer experience and skills required including the use of Microsoft Office. |
Working Conditions | Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office/healthcare environment; some travel and weekend work is required. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which may require presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley. |
Other | Exceptional planning and organizational skills. Effective management and supervisory skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and collaboration skills. Strong customer service orientation and ability to work as a team member. |
