About the service
Launceston Head to Health service model is tailored to the needs of the local community and offers a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support to provide a warm, welcoming and high-quality experience including: immediate mental health support for people requiring short-term mental health and wellbeing support.
Stride have pioneered the integrated model since 2014 and we look forward to bringing our experience to Launceston and are looking for an innovative and motivated workforce to bring this new model to life.

Role overview
This position acts as a central point of communication and will provide a superior level of secretarial and reception services to consumers, clinical and management staff at Head to Health.
- Medical Reception duties including taking incoming calls and directing the caller to the appropriate member of staff or health professional
- Appointment scheduling and maintenance of clients including the ability to register consumers into client management system.
- General Office duties and maintenance including and not limited to opening and distribution of mail typing, scanning, filing and archiving and preparing documentation for clinical team
Requirements
- Ideally a minimum of Cert III in Medical Administration or similar qualification
- Excellent administration, time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the health/NFP sector with an ability to liaise with people from diverse backgrounds
- Proven record in working closely with and being a successful member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organisational skills
- Well-developed customer service skills
- Ability to think and act calmly and deal sensitively with distressed people.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWVP check
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
- A current unencumbered driver’s license
