The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Institute (IBDI) in the Department of Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Director to oversee operations and implement the IBDI vision.
The vison for IBDI is to create a world free of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases through world-class clinical care, excellence in translational research and promoting collaborative efforts to discover lasting solutions for patients. Reporting to the Executive Director of the Institute, the Director of Operations for IBDI is responsible for managing and expanding Institute capabilities to fulfill IBDI objectives.
Responsibilities include:
· building and integrating institutional research partnerships
· managing Institute resources, including the MIRIAD Biobank and data repository
· promoting optimal collaboration and communication within the Institute, Institution and to external partners to successfully achieve IBDI deliverables
· ensuring compliance with institutional, state and federal regulations, in particular, for the use of human subjects.
The Director of Operations will implement standards for organizational structure and governance as well as process improvements to maximize IBDI impact.

Our compensation philosophy:
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.
Pay Range: $290,004-$450,008 Total Cash Compensation
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
· Doctorate with greater than 10 years’ experience in translational (bench-to bedside/ bedside-to-bench) research.
· Demonstrated management experience in a complex academic or multi-site/multi-disciplinary environment required.
· Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in building a collaborative team environment.
· Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
· Experience in managing a biorepository or biobank preferred.
· Master’s degree in operations management, project management, strategic management, business management, or similar experience is desirable.
· Working knowledge of grants and contract administration.
