Meeting Facilitator (USAID/ID Hub)

Position description

The Inclusive Development Hub (ID Hub) is undergoing a review of its structure and team roles to ensure efficient collaboration and clarity. This includes:

  • Clarifying the Inclusion and Equity (I&E) Team’s role: Defining its purpose, potential overlaps with the Program Office, and its overall contribution to the Hub’s objectives.
  • Assessing the I&E Team’s structure: Evaluating if its internal roles and responsibilities are optimized for effectiveness.
  • Mapping team relationships: Aligning the I&E Team with other Hub teams, including the Program Office, to establish consistent and productive working relationships.

To facilitate this process, a consultant will:

  • Host a meeting: Convene the I&E Team, Program Office representatives, and ID Hub management to discuss roles, responsibilities, and collaborative strategies.
  • Prepare and guide the discussion: Develop a focused agenda, review relevant materials, and steer the conversation towards productive outcomes.
  • Document and propose recommendations: Capture key discussion points and present actionable suggestions for optimized team structures and working relationships.

Anticipated LOE: 2 days

Location: Washington, DC/Onsite
Position Type: Temporary 
 

Responsibilities 

• Assist working group to prepare input for the final agenda and work session.
• Drive the conversation and track any action items that come out of the workshop.
• Oversee process of organizing documentation of the workshop (including records of breakout groups, etc).
• Write and present summary report and recommendations on follow up.

The consultant shall present the following deliverables after the workshop:

• A written report summarizing the event (plenary and breakout group sessions) along with actions items and recommendations for follow up.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and six (6) years of professional experience OR Master’s degree in relevant field and four (4) years of professional experience.
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to convey messages through clear and concise writing.
• Strong history of education/training in the areas of adult learning, and/or the facilitation of educational programs for adults a plus.
• Prior experience as a professional facilitator, required.
• Prior experience working with adult teaching methods.
• Prior experience providing skills coaching.
• Knowledge of agile facilitation principles and practices a plus.
• Experience working with high-performing teams.
