Description of Work Unit Campus Recreation, an auxiliary unit in the Division of Student Affairs, provides wellness and healthy lifestyle oriented programs, events, and services to Colorado State University students and employees via seven programmatic areas: Student Recreation Center, Aquatics, Fitness, Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, Outdoor Program, and Climbing Wall. Eight service units – Membership Services, Business Office, Information Technology, Communications/Marketing, Custodial Services, Equipment Management, Maintenance, and Training & Development – support the program functions to provide seamless customer service to CSU students, employees, and their families.
Campus Recreation facilities, programs, and services promote a sense of community, support student development through leadership and employment opportunities, and encourage the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle to a diverse University population. Campus Recreation employs 34 career staff, up to 50 part-time staff, and 300+ student staff who are committed to providing a safe, welcoming space to CSU community members from all backgrounds and fitness levels. Position Summary The Member Services Desk Attendant will report to the Coordinator, Member Services and is an integral role which assists with ensuring correct facility access, equipment check-in/out, and providing excellent customer service. The position is negotiable up to 20 hours per week from February 2024 through May 2024. The work schedule will be flexible dependent upon assigned shifts and academic obligations. Shifts range from 3-4.5 hours, with operating hours ranging from 5:45a-11p; Some Sunday on-site hours are also required during trainings.
Position Minimum Qualifications
  • Available early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Must be available to work at least 1 University scheduled break: exception to those living in housing that closes during breaks
  • Ability to work a minimum of ten hours per week
  • Ability to attend in-person monthly In-Services held on Sunday mornings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a customer service setting preferred.
