Membership Services Coordinator

The Lake Winnipesaukee Association (LWA) is seeking a Membership Services Coordinator to join our growing Winni Blue team. As the leading nonprofit dedicated to protecting and improving the water quality of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire, the LWA leads the effort to counteract the threats that stress the lake’s natural ecosystem, degrade its water quality and lower the economic value of the region.

The Membership Services Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing LWA’s membership program, as well as providing other administrative support to the staff and Board of Directors.  This position is integral to the support of LWA’s programs and activities. As a nonprofit, we rely on donations from individuals, grants, and support from the lakes region communities.  The position is based in Gilford, NH.

Responsibilities:

Coordination of Membership Program:

  • Ensure that data about our members is accurate and up-to-date, using NEON CRM.
  • Process membership applications; manage membership recruitment and renewal appeals.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics related to membership growth and generate reports to inform member engagement strategy.
  • Develop and maintain all office/electronic files and systems associated with membership.
  • Actively participate in crafting membership development strategy, and conducting outreach for new members.

Member Outreach and Communications

  • Serve as central point of contact for members; respond to general inquiries
  • Welcome and orient new members
  • Communicate membership value and benefits to current and prospective members
  • Assist the LWA staff in developing and implementing member recruitment campaigns.
  • Engage staff and Board in member recruitment and retention.

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in membership or fundraising with preference in nonprofit experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude.
  • Experience and comfort with membership/development databases.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ideally including experience communicating with diverse audiences about environmental water quality protection or related issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Other:

  • This position is part-time at 20 hours per week.
  • Reports to the President of LWA.
