  • Part Time, Permanent Position (0.8 FTE)
  • Classification: Health Professional Level 2 OR Registered Nurse Level 2 with a salary range of $91,706 – $102,613 per annum, pro rata + Superannuation

About your new role

As an Allied Health Professional, you will draw on your discipline skills, engage with participants, other clinicians, the participant’s treatment team, lived experience peer workers, Neami staff and family/friends/carers to provide high quality evidence-based interventions to facilitate goal focused support to improve overall wellbeing and safety to service participants.

Interventions will be flexible and tailored to meet individual need, with a focus on building capacity to self-manage distress. Therapeutic interventions may include, but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Brief Strategic/ Interactional Therapies, Brief Humanistic Existential Therapies, Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Intervening, and Single Session Thinking.

What you will bring to the role

  • As a Mental Health Clinician, you will have registration with the relevant accreditation body in your field. It is a responsibility of the incumbent to maintain all registrations requirements with the appropriate registration authority and continuing professional development
  • Psychologist, Social Worker, Nurse, or Occupational Therapist – General or Clinical Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA or AASW)
  • Experience in providing therapeutic intervention to people presenting in distress.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
  • Current full registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA/ or AASW) essential.
