ABOUT THE ROLE

As Clinical Lead you’ll work collaboratively across our Residential Services, providing advice & guidance on best practice approaches to working with people with complex mental health &/or a Psychosocial Disability, and encouraging a culture of continuous quality improvement. This rewarding part time hybrid role is 4 days (32 hours) per week, based from our Surry Hills office with flexibility in work pattern and to work from home where practicable. When infrequent travel across our residential sites arises, transport is available. Remuneration is negotiable based on skills & experience, commencing from $79,040 base per annum (pro rated, SCHADS Level 5), plus superannuation & NFP salary packaging.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and support to the Residential Services Team, ensuring best practice and evidence-based approaches are implemented in our model of care
  • Consulting and closely collaborating with intake & vacancy management, ensuring consumer voice & needs are reflected
  • Providing advice to the Residential Services Team to continue to reduce the use of Restrictive Practices, whilst ensuring the safety of all residents and staff
  • Developing and leading training in relevant clinical areas, ensuring staff have all critical skills to support goal achievement for residents
  • Leading and participating in reflective practice, decision-making processes and service planning sessions, as required
  • Utilising consumer data & relevant reporting to inform ICLA’s Clinical Governance Leadership framework & promote continuous improvement
  • Supporting the review and update of key Service Delivery policies and procedures to ensure they reflect best practice

ABOUT YOU

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Behaviour Support or equivalent
  2. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience supporting people with a psychosocial disability &/or mental health concern within a community setting
  3. Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS funding and frameworks, with SIL knowledge highly desirable
  4. A demonstrated understanding of recovery based and trauma informed approaches to providing assessment and support
  5. Demonstrated ability to conduct assessments and identify needs, risks, and consumer interests
  6. Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager, with ability to adapt communication style & build rapport to meet the needs of a diverse range of people, while maintaining clear boundaries
  7. Solution-focused change champion, modelling a culture of continuous improvement while keeping consumer outcomes at the forefront.
  8. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a diplomatic manner
  9. Working knowledge and competence in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn and proficiently use IT systems
  10. Unrestricted working rights in Australia, NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain), Covid-19 vaccination or exemption, and current driving license.
