Mental Health Practitioner

Creighton University is seeking to hire a full time Mental Health Assistant Director for Student Outreach.

 

This role creates, coordinates, assigns, and conducts various student outreach education and programming around mental health issues including, but not limited to, group therapies, workshops, tabling events, and presentations. 

Facilitates social media outlets and manages website content for Student Counseling Services.  This may also include working with the department’s therapy dog. 

Works with peer educators to increase access to student education and outreach on various mental health topics.

As part of the student care and outreach functional area in Student Counseling, this position also provides direct counseling to students, works with various crisis cases, and carries a caseload, as a Mental Health Practitioner, by providing individual, group and couples counseling for Creighton students in the context of psychological services.

 

 

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Clinical Social Work.

Three years’ post-degree experience in mental health setting.

Previous experience working in a college setting or with college-aged students is preferred.
