Rethink are looking for an experienced and passionate Mental Health Support Worker to work as part of our inspiring team in Somerset, Step Up Service, Yeovil.Imagine being part of an organisation whose common purpose is to help those who are severely impacted by mental illness. We believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity – and that’s why equity is one of our core values.The Step Up service in Yeovil, Somerset, provides short term support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crisis. The service is accessible to adults aged 18 and above, and has 6 beds with communal areas such as kitchen and lounge. The service is registered with CQC and staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and staff work in partnership with Somerset Foundation NHS Trust.JOIN THE TEAM!How you will make a differenceAs a Mental Health Support Worker you will offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. You will be working closely with service users to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey.Essential skills and experience required:

  • I am a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn
  • I can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.
