Mental Health Teaching AssistantLocation: WarehamSalary: £12.82 – £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)Start Date: ImmediateContract Type: Full-time/Part-timeAre you passionate about supporting young people with mental health needs to achieve their potential?GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a school in Wareham. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support to overcome challenges, build resilience, and thrive in their education.Responsibilities of a Mental Health Teaching Assistant:

• Provide one-to-one and group support to students with mental health needs.
• Assist in creating and implementing tailored strategies to support students’ emotional well-being and learning.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and social interactions among students.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support students’ progress.
• Offer encouragement and guidance to help students build confidence and self-esteem.

Requirements of a Mental Health Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with children or young people with mental health needs (preferred).
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
